We are now beginning to write our own descriptive paragraphs. This morning, we did a quick review on adjectives and went over some success criteria to help us write a strong descriptive paragraph.
We are beginning to read descriptive paragraphs and draw the picture that is described.

We are working on our listening skills. We are watching french Robert Munsch videos and sequencing the pictures and sentences in the correct order.

We have been supporting the Olympics by creating new tracksuits for team Canada. We will be sending our samples to Olympics Canada and we hope that our tracksuit will get picked for the next winter games!
This morning, the students received a short paragraph that they should practice reading at home.
On Friday they will record themselves on the school iPad reading this paragraph - I will be assessing their expression, their fluency and pronunciation in French.

This morning, we started to write a persuasive paragraph trying to convince Santa to pick us as his new elf!
We will be sending our applications to the North Pole. We are hoping that Santa will choose us to be his new elf. We would love to go work with him at the North Pole!

We are done writing our presentation about a classmate. Your child was given their work and is able to bring it home to practice. They will present their friend to the class on Thursday!
Every morning we do French morning work. This week, we are focusing on finding and correcting the errors in the sentences. We are using our success criteria (POMME) to help find these errors.
